Spike PP1472
Species: African Grey
Name: Spike
Adoption Fee: CITES
Location: Birmingham
Cage Supplied: No, I will need a new one please.
Introduction:
Hello I’m Spike and I’m 28 years old. I am a beautiful African grey.
History/Background:
I was raised from a chick by an older couple. The man passed away and the lady couldn’t keep me as I reminded her too much of her husband. I have been in my current home for approximately 9 years.
Current Condition:
I have beautiful feathers and do not pluck.
Training:
I’m happy to step up once I’ve got to know you. I can fly, but don’t like to much as I prefer walking around the floors, seeing what mischief I can get into! I will step into a towel when on the floor.
I love kisses and tickles, if I am not being a hormonal T-rex.
Diet:
I currently eat a low sunflower seed mix and vegetables.
Enrichment:
I love cardboard boxes, especially if you cut an entrance for me.
I like kids TV, singing and dancing.
I love having a shower and watching the world go by out the window.
Summary:
Overall, I am a lovely, stable bird! I enjoy head tickles, though on my own terms. I can get a bit nippy when I don’t want to do something, or I’m feeling hormonal.
I give good warning though and bob side to side saying ‘come on then!’
I am on the search for my forever home where I can get the love and attention I deserve!
Please apply below if you think you could be the home I am looking for!

Some of our feathered friends
Birds are often considered easy pets to care for, but many people do not fully understand their needs, habits, and requirements. When rehoming a parrot, we meticulously select and assess each request to ensure that both the parrot and the home are safe, happy, and healthy. Our goal is to ensure that your parrot becomes a cherished member of your family.
