She os affectionate, cuddly and particularly loves relaxing on the safa with her humans, snuggled underneath a blanket.

History/Background
Onion is very people orientated cockatoo who enjoys human comapany and attention. She is friendly with most people and can be extremely affectionate when she is comfortable.
Onion loves to investigate everything around her and wants to know exactly what her humans are doing. Being in the middle of family life is very important to her, and she thrives when she feels included.
Like many cockatoos, Onion can become overwhelmed if there is too much going on around her or if she is over stimulated. She therefore benefits from people who understand cockatoo body language and recognise when she needs some space.
She can also have the occasional peck, including a cheeky peck to the side of your head, so her interactions should always be supervised and handled with awareness of her mood and body language.

Onion also has a very strong interest in whatever her humans are eating! She is more than happy to make her opinion known if she believes she should be included in meal times and will certainly let you know if she wants a taste of what everyone else has.
Her diet should continue to be carefully managed with appropriate foods for a cockatoo, while ensuring treats and human foods are safe and suitable.

It is very important though to recognise when she is becoming overwhelmed and allow her appropriate quiet time and space to decompress.
