Harold PP1175

Harold PP1175

Species: Alexandrine
Name: Harold
Adoption Fee: £175

Location: Bristol
Cage Supplied: No, I will need a new one please!

Introduction:

Harold is a stunning, fully feathered Alexandrine. He is full of character and is a right chatterbox.

History/Background:

Harold came back into the charity, due to a change of circumstances with his previous adopter. It was through no fault of his own.

Training:

Harold will need ongoing training as he is not hand tame. He will gently take treats from your hand, but will not step up.

Diet:

Harold has AS30 seed mix and has fresh fruit and vegetables daily.

Enrichment:

Harold loves playing with all of his toys! His favourite is his bel which he loves banging about making as much noise as possible! He loves timeout of the cage, having a good fly around and stretching his wings.

Summary:

Harold is an amazing bird and would be a superb addition to whoever adopts him. He has no preference to men or women, but is not hand tame, so will need ongoing training for him to step up. He can be nervous around new people but will quickly settle down and adapts easily. He loves foot tickles but will not yet allow head tickles.

Harold is a right chatterbox and says many words, he mostly asks ‘what you doing?’ or will say ‘do it’ and sometimes ‘don’t do it!’ He loves whistling and will expect you to whistle back, if you’re too slow he will tell you to ‘do it!’ Harold prefers a calm environment and doesn’t like too much noise.
