Name: Meep

Cage Supplied: No, I will need a new one please!

Introduction:

‘Meep!’ – and yes, he’ll say it right back to you, clear as day! Formerly known as Meep Meep (but don’t call him that… he’s made his feelings clear!) This gorgeous Senegal prefers to keep things simple. Just Meep, thank you very much.

Around 6 years old, and believed to be male, Meep is an absolute character. One minute he’ll be whistling the most beautiful little tunes, and the next… letting out a screech that makes sure you haven’t forgotten he is there!

With his chosen person, Meep is extremely loving. He’ll fly over to you, snuggle into your neck, hide in your hair and even roll over onto his back for scratches – total trust mode. He’s never bitten his safehouse mum and absolutely thrives on that close bond.

But… Meep knows what he likes – and what he doesn’t. He’s not a fan of men and will confidently let you know he’s a ‘big bird’ before deciding whether to make a dramatic exit or a cheeky lunge. Because of this, Meep would be best suited to a female owner, who has plenty of love, patience and time to give him, allowing that special bond to grow at his pace.

When he’s excited (which is often!), Meep can be quite vocal – especially when greeting you. Expect enthusiastic screeches and a happy little dance in his cage when he sees you. He loves attention and will soak it up from anyone willing to admire him.

Diet:

Food-wise?

Meep is a foodie with strong opinions. His favourites include:

  • Sugar snap peas (Top tier, absolute obsession!)
  • Broccoli and apple slices (devoured like it’s his last meal ever!)
  • Carrots and Sweetcorn (a solid yes!)
  • A little scrambled egg or mashed swede (occasionally but greens win every time!)

He currently also has Johnston & Jeff Low Sunflower Mix and absolutely adores being hand fed – in fact, he’d happily have you serve every meal personally if you let him!

Summary:

In summary, Meep is funny, affectionate, dramatic, loud, loving and completely unforgettable. He’s looking for the right person who will adore his quirks, respect his preferences, and enjoy all the joy (and noise!) he brings.

If you’re ready for a little parrot with a big voice and an even bigger heart… Meep might just be your perfect match!
