Lola PP1479

LOLA PP1479

Species: African Grey
Name: Lola
Adoption Fee: CITES

Location: Cheshire East
Cage Supplied: No, I will need a new one please.

Introduction:

Meet Lola! A beautiful African Grey who is full of personality! She is very friendly and loves interacting with people. Lola can fly and may even land on you for a visit. She enjoys gentle head tickles and will let you know when she has had enough – always in a calm non aggressive way.

Her exact age is unknown, but she appears to be a young healthy bird. African greys are highly intelligent and social, so Lola will thrive in a loving home where she gets plenty of attention and stimulation.

History/Background:

Lola came into the charity through no fault of her own. Her previous owner had serious health issues. He had owned Lola since 2020 and sent her to an avairy for a short time when he became ill. During her stay at the avairy, she laid eggs, so they could no longer house her, so she returned. Unfortunately she then spent a month in her travel cage.

Diet:

Lola’s diet is currently a work in progress. She isn’t very keen on vegetables, but we keep trying different varieties both cooked and uncooked.

Lola does love grapes and clemetines though!

She has Prestige Parrot Seed Mix.

Summary:

Despite these challenges, Lola is a joy to safehouse. She is friendly, sociable and loves interaction. She can fly and may land on you and enjoys tickles.
