Introduction:
Hi, I’m Joe. I’m approximately around 20 years old. Joe was with her previous owners for her whole life until she came into the charity. She was believed to be male but laid an egg so we now know she is female.
History/Background:
Joe came into the charity due to no fault of her own, this was due to the owners work patterns changing. This meant Joes routine had changed which in hand made Joe pluck herself and she lost all of her chest feathers.
Current Condition:
Joe is a beautiful bird but sadly she doesn’t have feathers on her chest due to plucking.
Training:
Since being in a safe house, Joe has stepped up twice, though she is very wary of doing this so she would benefit from ongoing training to help her with this .
Diet:
Joe has Harrisons for breakfast, AS30 for tea. Joe also has fruit and veg daily and is offered nuts.
Enrichment:
Joes loves to play with her toys and loves to shred cardboard too. She’s not overly keen of coming out the cage, which will need working on.
Summary:
Joe is a beautiful bird and a pleasure to safe house.
Once joe has settled and gains the trust of her adopter she will start to venture out more. she will be fantastic company and a asset to anyone’s life.
