Species: Citron-Crested Cockatoo
Name: Charlie
Location: Nottingham
Cage Supplied: Yes
Adoption fee: CITES
Introduction:
Hi, I’m Charlie, the lovable Citron-Crested Cockatoo.
History/Background:
Charlie has been with Problem Parrots for a while and is in the care of the charity through no fault of his own.
Current Condition:
Charlie has plucked many of his feathers, as you can see in his photos, but he is still a beautiful bird with lovely feet and big bright eyes.
Training:
He knows how to step up.
Diet:
He currently enjoys Johnston and Jeff Lean and Fit seed mix and enjoys his daily fresh fruit and vegetables, especially banana and blueberries!
Enrichment:
Charlie loves chewing up cardboard and playing with a ball – he will throw a ball around and likes throwing things around with his human.
Summary:
Charlie has had problems with feather plucking, but his feathers are steadily improving since he has been in his new safehouse. He can be loud and enjoys shouting, but also likes talking to humans and having head tickles. He steps up on his terms and needs lots of things to destroy to keep him occupied! If you can give him the love and attention he needs, please don’t hesitate to apply below.

Some of our feathered friends
Birds are often considered easy pets to care for, but many people do not fully understand their needs, habits, and requirements. When rehoming a parrot, we meticulously select and assess each request to ensure that both the parrot and the home are safe, happy, and healthy. Our goal is to ensure that your parrot becomes a cherished member of your family.
