Bobbie PP894
Species: Congo African Grey
Name: Bobbie
Location: Derbyshire
Cage Supplied: Yes
Adoption fee: CITES
Introduction:
Hi, I’m Bobbie, a beautiful Congo African Grey parrot with lots of love to give.
History/Background:
We are unsure how old Bobbie is because her leg ring has worn away, but she came back into the charity recently through no fault of her own. She was very well loved by her previous family.
Current Condition:
Bobbie has plucked lots of her feathers.
Training:
Bobbie knows how to step up, but she pretends not to hear people when they ask! She also knows how to give a kiss for a pistachio nut. She has previously worn a harness.
Diet:
Bobbie currently eats a diet of Johnston and Jeff low sunflower seed mix, but will try anything that is given to her.
Enrichment:
Bobbie likes to tear up the newspaper at the bottom of her cage, but she is scared of boxes. She loves being out of her cage and doesn’t really play with her toys.
Summary:
Bobbie is a fantastic bird overall, and very funny to be with. She will definitely make the right family very happy. She has quite a wide vocabulary, but also knows lots of swear words. She’s a clever girl who isn’t timid and loves head scratches. She is definitely female as she has laid eggs in the past! She isn’t very good with small children (and has been known to bite) but she would be a wonderful addition to the right home. If you could offer this to her, please don’t hesitate to apply below!

Some of our feathered friends
Birds are often considered easy pets to care for, but many people do not fully understand their needs, habits, and requirements. Our goal is to ensure that your parrot becomes a cherished member of your family.
