I will need a new one to call my home please.
Hi, I’m Rodney, a beautiful Quaker who is looking for my forever home! I’m still only young (around a year old) so I’d love someone who has got time for me to work on my confidence.
Rodney was an unwanted bird and was left at the vets. Because of this we know very little about his history.
Rodney is very nervous around people. He will fly away from you if you come too close to him, the safe house is working on this with Rodney. Rodney will now take a treat from your hand
Rodney will need ongoing training in all areas to help him to get used to people around him.
Rodney is currently on Tidy Mix Parakeet food mix and has plenty of fresh fruit and vegetable each day. He loves a little bit of toast in a morning for his breakfast.
Rodney has got lots of toys in his cage, although he has shown little interest in these. He has a large wooden swing which he loves to sit on. Rodney loves to spend time out of his cage, sitting in the window watching outside.
Rodney is a beautiful bird who would love a chance at a happy home. He needs someone who can offer him time to fulfil his potential. As Rodney is still young it is hoped that with time and patience Rodney will calm down and his forever family will be able to train him. He enjoys nothing more than having a fly around the room. Because we don’t know about Rodneys history, he has been kept separate from other birds in his safe house. Therefore we are unable to comment on how he would be with other birds.
