Hi, my name is Harley! I’m a handsome Congo African Grey parrot.

History/Background:

My previous carer has had to make the difficult decision to let me go through no fault of my own.

Current Presentation:

I’m a beautiful, fully feathered bird with clear and bright eyes!

Training:

I can step up but I can be a little temperamental, so ongoing training could be beneficial to help me thrive in my new home.

Diet:

I love food and I will eat almost anything I’m offered. I enjoy fresh fruit and vegetables, and I eat Harrison’s pellets for breakfast and AS30 seed mix in the evening.

Enrichment:

I like to go out in the garden in my cage and I love showering! I also enjoy chewing wood, paper and cardboard toys.

Summary:

Harley is a good bird and has the potential to make a wonderful companion for the right family. He loves to talk and can pick up sounds easily: he enjoys making noises like phone ringtones and reversing truck noises! He loves to copy noises and it’s easy to teach him new things. He is quite active and enjoys flying around and climbing in and around his cage.

Since being in his current safehouse, Harley has learned to copy all sorts of fun noises; he loves to sit on top of his cage and be independent.

Harley is a sweet bird with a lovely personality. He enjoys head scratches and can be very friendly with people he likes! If you could offer him a great home, please don’t hesitate to apply below.
