Best friends forever

Hi, I’m George

PP number: PP1112

Name: George

Species: African Grey

Cage supplied: Yes

Adoption fee: CITES

Introduction:

George is a very chatty, funny but slightly cheeky grey around 12 years old. George is looking for a new male best friend in a loving forever home. He will come in and out of his cage on his own accord and will only step up on his terms. George likes to whistle and does say lots of things, such as “good morning”,”hello”, “chips” and “good boy George”, however he does also drop in some swear words which wouldn’t be appropriate for smaller children.

History/Background:

George has been a much loved member of a family for his whole life but circumstances made it impossible for him to be kept and that’s how he came into the PP family.

Current Presentation:

George is in good health with no previous medical issues to date. George is left alone for short periods whilst his safe house mum and dad work but this doesn’t stress him at all so would be fine if adopter works. (we do leave the radio on for him)

Training:

George will step up to a male but only when he is away from his cage and on his terms. He isn’t keep on using a perch instead as this seems to stress him more. He will, when the cage door is open, let himself in and out freely.

Diet:

George currently eats tidy mix along with warmed vegetables each morning. As a treat George likes seedless grapes and almond nuts are his favourite.

Enrichment:

George enjoys shredding cardboard and newspaper which I hang from shoe laces in his cage. He does also like to play with the toys in his cage and have some time out on the java tree currently.

Summary:

If you are male and are looking for a very funny but independent grey then look no further. George will keep you entertained and be a much loved family member.
