Jack is a lovely gentle natured boy, he will be very easily trained and he already steps up when told ‘up’, he likes to gives kisses and will sit with you on the sofa, he will step up on to anyone, male or female so he has no preference, he is gentle around children and has taken himself over to my children to sit on their knee He very much likes his food and treats and will sit and wait for his food bowl to be filled when he knows you are doing it He will make a very loving, loyal companion to the right adopter and we will be very sad to see this special boy go

Yes, he has been around my 3 children who are all under 10 and has sat nicely on them including the 4 year old

Other Safe housed birds, only really interacts with the CAG vocally

Bird isn’t covered and has a normal sleeping pattern so awake during the day and sleeps at night


How many hours a day is the bird currently out of it’s cage? *



In your opinion would the bird be suited to a home where there is someone home all day, or would the bird be able to be left alone while the adopter works? Please detail with reasons for your answer. *

Bird would be okay while the adopter is at work

Currently plays on top or inside it’s cage


How independent is the bird. Does he/she play on their own, sit and watch the world go by, or do they require a lot of interaction from their human companion? *

He will sit and watch the world go by and will occupy himself with the toys


How does the bird interact with other birds? Please detail including which other birds live with the safehouse bird. *

He interacts vocally with the SH CAG


Feeding habits. What are the birds favourite foods? Do they eat chop, sprouted or pellets? Please detail. *

Currently eats AS30, favourites are Orange and corn on the cob and Banana


Does the bird step up? If so is this onto a hand or a perch. Please detail. *

Will happily step up onto a hand, if told ‘Up’


If the bird does not step up or is not handleable then what training tools do you use to interact with the bird and does the bird go in and out of it’s cage of it’s own accord? Please detail including any signs of aggressive tendencies. *

He would be easy to Harness train but we don’t currently have 1 to train him with

He is vocal, likes to repeat ‘hello’ and mutters to himself


Do you have an outside aviary and does the bird enjoy being outside? *

No outside aviary


Does the bird enjoy a shower or does he/she prefer to bathe in his water bowl? *

He doesn’t really like to be sprayed and will be vocal if you spray him


Does the bird require ongoing medical treatment? If so please detail *

No treatment required
