Problem Parrots main aim is to ensure that all owners are given the information and support needed to keep their loved parrots at home with them. We do this by offering our free support but from time to time this is not possible for one reason or another so we are asked to rehome their bird.

When this occurs we need foster homes to offer short term love and care for any parrot that need it. The foster home will offer a safe and loving home untill Problem parrots rehoming team can match the parrot to the new adoptive family.

If you feel that you can help and become a foster home please get intouch either on the main phone number or email: infoThis email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Q: Do i need to pay to foster?
A: Problem parrots ask that you become a supporter of the charity which is a one off fee of £50.

Q: Do i need lots of experience?
A: we try and match the experience of the foster home with the needs of the parrot. Problem parrots will support you all through your time as a foster home.

Q: Do i need a cage?
A: It would help if you have a cage but if not we can help with this.

Q: How long will i foster a bird for?
A: This depends on how soon the best match can be found for the bird and the adoptive owners. We do not rush as this is when the birds can be moved where they will not be happy. We will keep you in the loop with how the rehoming process is going.
