Name:Lola and Frost
Reference No:PP543. PP544
Hello everyone, we are parrolets and we are currently in safe house. We are called Lola and Frost :)
Lola is very confident and when your hands in the cage she will come jump on you and have a nibble or if you just stand by the cage she wants to come say hello.... and waits for a finger to chomp on :)
Frost is a little shy. He isnt too keen on coming over to say hi, but is interested in what you are doing. He will stick by Lola's side at all times where he feels safe.
We are on a diet of tidy mix seed, and since Saturday when we arrived at our safehouse we have been enjoying chop mix. We love vegetables on a kebob stick. Today we had chop with Creamy Zen (from scarletts) and raspberries, cherries and blueberries. We had a great time, the lounge floor looks like a blood bath and Frost isnt so pure white now LOL
We love to forage with natural branches, we currently have willow tree branches and we have been nibbling them lots. We also love the herb mixes our safehouse mum buys from Riodite Herbs for birds.
We have a lovely big cage, but if your not very bendy you may find it hard to clean the lower half of our cage as the 2 small doors are at the top of the cage, so long arms needed or a nice new cage.
Our safe house mum has put us in a cage whilst we are with her, its really nice, instead of a thin tall cage its short and wide so we can fly about.
We are not noisy birds, we do get a little vocal now and then but I doubt you would notice, We have a bedtime of 6.30pm – 8am and we love our cage being covered. As soon as our avian lamp is turned off we go off to our sleeping perch and await bed time.
We came into Problem Parrots as we were not very nice to other birds within the home, so we would possibly need a home where there are no other birds, or a home where we can come out of our cage at different times to other birds (we must not be mixed)
