We have always have wanted a parrot but wasnt prepared to go to a pet shop to buy one as you dont know what your going to get, meaning it could not like you, could be vicious towards you because you dont know the well being of the bird. I since found out from one of my friends about the adoption process and could not believe there was such a thing. We have had rescue dogs in the past and its the best feeling ever to give an animal a loving home. I think this charity problem parrots is a credit to these birds. I will be adopting one hopefully soon an African grey! Well done to all of you volunteers for making this happen without you the birds would probably either be dead, beaten, mistreated by people who cant be bothered with these anymore or the people who have sadly passed away or just hasnt got the time. Keep up the hard work!!!
Problem parrots have been amazing how they have helped me with advise and care for my grey and my senny.... They have helped advise me and shown me the right way to care for them and shown me the right was isn't actually that hard. I also have become involved in the charity have done safe housing and home checks and also gone with shell and watched her do some behavioral work. Amazing to see how they do all this in their own time and all completely at their own expense. I woukd definitely not have my 2 birds had it not been for the support of the charity and the wonderfull people who are apart of the team. I have made friends who I treasure. And gained confidence that i never had. Thank you pp for helping me and my parrots. Claire (problem parrots fund raising Co coordinator)
PP helped me when i was a complete parrot novice after i had taken in a lovely CAG called Terry. I had the best of intentions, but it just didn't work out and PP were there to help and advise to ensure that Terry had a safe home and although i don't have a bird anymore i will always be a supporter of PP, they're worth their weight in gold....
Have helped so much with my birds, to offer advice and care. Always there to lend a hand and help, no matter how trivial the question :)
